Friday morning I decided to brave the four hour drive and accompany Patrick and his family to McCrory Arkansas' Mosquito Fest. It's kind of like a small town carnival. It was so worth it.

Patrick's dad Jan, uncle Jerry, aunts Joan and Lisa are the entertainment. They always want Patrick to play some too. The kids and I
boogied. That's southern for
danced.

Please note the bright orange sign: "Deep Fried Peanut Butter and Jelly". While I did not partake of this southern delicacy, the foot long corn dog that I looked forward to did not disappoint. The soft pretzels were to die for.

This is Patrick and his great aunt Millie. Sweet lady.

Josie found a new best friend in her great aunt Carole, whom we call
MuCarole. I don't know exactly why she' called that, but I don't care. A woman so gracious and kind can be called whatever she wants.

See the cute sisters? Peggy and Carole are adorable.

Our little family drove Peggy's minivan, Jon and Sherry took their car, and the rest biked it. I was proud of
DeeAnn for going such a far distance with Michael on his new Harley.

One of my favorite things about staying in Carole's cabin in Augusta is a big country breakfast in the morning. The other favorite thing is that in the middle of the night, I saw four raccoons on the porch eating out of the bird feeders. Oh yeah, and my great grandparents lived in August a long time ago, and I like to think about them when visiting.

Our family on Saturday night.

The kids were well behaved the whole time, catching a snooze whenever they needed it. The DVD player helped too.

Here is my date for the weekend (and forever).

I'm not mad; it's just my regular face!

Can you see Josie's childish glee as we told her we were at Mosquito Fest?
By the way, I only got 3 mosquito bites.

Sweet. I'm glad you had fun, even if your face looks angry :) and your blue shirt looks good!
Sounds like fun times! All those motorcycles must have drawn a lot of attention.
What were you doing up in the middle of the night with those raccoons?
Oh, and I love your new blog design.
