When Kyle does crazy stuff, I try to step back and instead of get mad, just say, "Are you two?" to which he will say, "yes." He is two and a half to be exact. The pictures at the top of this post are all a bit older.
Since last November, Kyle was grown about three inches. He has thick little feet so about outgrows a shoe as soon as he grows into it. He wears size 9's. He is the Kelsey of the family. In fact, two nights ago as I told a bedtime story to the three oldest (who also appeared as characters in the story), he got a look on his face that looked just like my dad. It was so cool.
Kyle seems pretty content with his place as a middle child. He is one of the olders and one of the youngers. Two days ago, his finger got closed (
yes,
closed-
slammed really) in a door. By the end of the night, he was managing to do somersaults ("back flips") while holding his hurt finger close to his body so as to protect it.
Kyle likes to make a straining noise when lifting or moving things while stating, "I'm strong and heavy to carry this." If he were a spaghetti sauce he would be called Thick and Hearty. He has a great and healthy appetite.

had to check this one twice to make sure it was Kyle
For months now Kyle won't lie down for a nap but falls asleep in the car or when reading books at the right time of day. Don't wake him or you will be in for a cry-fest for 15 minutes.
Once, when kneeling to pray, Kyle told me in my ear, "You are my sweet boy." He is my sweet boy, and I think he is so cute.

just too tired to keep playing trains
Kyle likes to converse with us. He adds phrases that start with "because" but don't make sense. His new thing is to immediately contradict. But also he loves to say, "Thanks, Mom" when I give him things.

sharing a snack with cousin Abbey
He is my little blonde guy and kind of matches cousin Abbey this way. The above picture shows the smile I will get when I say, "I have a smile for you." He also has an adorable wink but I don't have a picture of it.
