We did get snow and sleet and ice: a few doses of it too! There were days off of school and church. I had to take snow pictures because it's not so frequent here.
I have fond memories of tromping around down in the hollow behind our house in Eureka Springs. My friend Vanessa would spear-head a trip on foot to her grandma's apartment. Once there, we stripped off our outer layers and hung them in the grandma's open oven to dry while we played Uno. Then, we'd tromp back. I'm glad to have had adventurous friends because I don't naturally do exciting things.

Kyle stayed out probably two hours. He enjoys alone time.

I suited up and played with him too.

A few different friends came over to play. I didn't get pictures of the Millers, but I got a few of the Lydas.

These children are just lovely. They got along so well too.

Simon officially turning seven. I told him seven times how lucky he was to have snow on his birthday.
And just this weekend, my longtime friend Katie and her husband Carleton stopped in on a trip to Dallas. I realized we are getting old when I couldn't even subtract the years correctly to note how long we've known each other. We've known each other twenty-two years and will always be friends. I love seeing my daughter hold her daughter.

Chris and Ashley came the next day and took us to the aquarium. A good time was had by all. Thanks, Chris!
