In mid-September our Relief Society went to the temple together. Here we are eating out afterwards.

Joy is one of my special friends in Relief Society.
Our school days are varied: we read at the couch, we work at the table.

Snacks make the learning easier!

Lest we forget . . .
We are so proud of Patrick for all his hard work on the Ph.D., and we really want it to end!

Girls crew at Avondale
We spend plenty of time outside whether in the yard or at the park with friends. One day, the kids found a lizard (an anole, I think). By stroking its throat, they got it to open its mouth and clip on their ears. By the end of being played with, that lizard was so worn out, it allowed itself to be held while it rested.
Avondale is bordered on the north side by a waterway that is usually quite shallow. At the end of a park day, we found these two in the deepest part. It's nice to see them enjoying each other so much.
The kids spend quite a bit of time with the Barrs. Brooke sent me a couple pictures from when she had most of them on a movie trip.

She likes the jumps, but the turns make her dizzy.
I have had so much fun teaching a beginning Spanish class at our house on Tuesdays.
