At the beginning of December Katie, Celeste, and I got together and had a cookie making day. We spent 5 hours in my hot kitchen, rolling out dough, tasting dough, and baking. What a Christmassy thing to do. Here are the fruits of our labors:

The photo doesn't do justice to Celeste's handiwork with a garlic press, which gave our gingerbread ladies hair, and some of our gingerbread men hairy chests too.

From the thumbprint cookies, we learned that maybe less butter is better and what size thumb should be employed.

The above cookies are my mom's honey cookies (like sugar cookies, but much yummier). Personally I think snowmen taste the best, but stars and hearts are really good too!

I didn't know shapes had different tastes to them. I think I'll be a little more selective next time :) What a fun day!
P.S. You look great too and I'm liking the longer hair.
What a fun and festive activity! I feel inspired to do better next year.
