Tuesday we went to a pumpkin stand run by a local youth group as a fundraiser. The lady I talked to said the pumpkins were grown in New Mexico. This automatically made them cool in my book. But as if that weren't enough, this place had such a variety of pumpkins and gourds. They had winged gourds (ours in the above picture looks like a fish), warty pumpkins, mini pumpkins with and without ridges, white mini pumpkins, etc., etc. Josie ran around with KJ and Hannah, her older cousins, who generously bought her a white mini pumpkin. And Simon was immediately content to sit by a pumpkin and munch on some grass. I got these cute shots of the kids to capture the essence of fall.

PS Do you remember Pumpkin Patch Kids? They were like Cabbage Patch Kids, and I had one when I was little. Did anyone else?

great pictures...I always look forward to seeing pics of you guys.
So I never had a cabbage patch doll, a pumpkin patch doll, an american girl doll, or even a 'katie' doll (it was the name of the company in joplin). I know, I was a deprived child and I still suffer from it. Anyways, I totally copied your wreath idea (copying is just a form of praise, right?) but I can't figure out how to hang it on my door. Darn
darling! and they do look like pumpkin patch kids. I had a cabbage batch doll with red curly hair and I loved her even though her hair was unruly (sp?)
