So, our power was out from Tuesday to Thursday due to the ice storm that demolished so many trees and downed power lines. Luckily, Mom and Dad have a wood stove and extra rooms. We looked forward to ice and being out of school, but had no idea we were in for trees down everywhere (REALLY), getting to use camp cooking skills, and fun driving on ice. My little brother Kevin actually had a live electrical wire sparking blue and dancing on his windshield. I'll put up a few photos of the last few days in Fayetteville.
Our front yard tree, which looks worse than this picture now. The best was that right before this branch cracked, I got a text from my mom saying, "Watch out for falling limbs. Limbs can kill." Then Sara started barking, we saw this out the window, sirens went off, and Simon started crying. The moment was very movie-esque. Patrick immediately geared up and chopped it into fire wood. What a man!
Below is a video of us driving along Zion Road on January 30th, which was closed for several days due to the downed lines and trees covering the whole left lane. Kind of boring, but interesting to see the damage.

Wow! I've been thinking about you. Those pictures were interesting to see. We only had an inch of ice, but it was bad enough! I'm glad you guys are warm and safe.
