When I Turned Thirty and Other Happenings

This beautiful sunset on my birthday is descriptive of how wonderful the day was.

When we came inside from taking these pictures in the back, friends had already arrived in the front for my party. We did a nacho bar and had brownies and ice cream.

Patrick manned the kitchen. He kept everyone's bellies full.

That the sun shone all day really made the day great. This is not common for January 15th. In the morning I went to take a hot tub soak at Katie's, but that didn't work. It was still nice to be able to fix my hair in peace though. Then I hung out with Mom and Bria. Then a brief trip to Wal-Mart by myself. Spent some time with Patrick while Josie and Simon were at the movies with his parents. Then my party! It was a terrific day. And now I'm thirty.
Here's some other stuff from around our house.
The kids made a tent all by themselves.
Simon took this one of Jos having tea.
Patrick made these sleds and then took Josie, Simon, KJ, Evan, and Hannah sledding.

We made snow ice cream. Note: Applesauce was not one of the ingredients.
Josie is looking so cute in her boots.
Simon is an excellent trike rider.
We decided Kyle's bullet (baby mullet) needed to go.

Happy belated birthday, Juli dearest! I thought about you all day on your birthday and was wishing you the best. I'm glad you have so many people close to you that made your day so special.

I'm glad your birthday was so wonderful!
I see Simon got a toddler bed-I hope he is still sleeping well! And you got a coat rack by the kitchen door--I like it! I wish I could come over and see all your rearrangings, I miss that

I remember your 19th birthday. Celebrating it as roomies was fun and also postponed a dreaded date. Also, your house is darling.
