Spring Comes Every Year

Spring is that thing that I forget about every year, but it always comes, and it's so happy with its warm and cold, rain and wind, muddy shoes, thunder, sun.

My friend Crystal, a graphic artist, does art with Josie and Simon once a week. We did finger painting a couple weeks ago. Why did I wait several years after buying the paints to open them, only to discover they were dried out? They still kinda worked . . .

"White eyes"

He thinks he's doing "white eyes" too.

I love teaching the kids in my primary class at church. I teach Josie and two 8 year old boys. They are sweet. My favorite thing lately is to let them ask questions, instead of asking questions to them. Isn't that how learning takes place?

Water flowed down our street ankle deep a couple times already this spring with heavy rains. One day I had to rescue our recycling bin floating down the street! That same day, a dumpster actually floated down the street a few blocks from my house. It only stopped when it hit a parked car. It's weird how we can't live without water, yet it can be so destructive.

We meet up with other homeschooling families every Friday. I am seriously grateful for these friendships. It's been a time for kids to play, a consistent time every week, and women to talk. I've learned a lot from these ladies with kids older and younger than ours.

We went to Frank Buck Zoo in Gainesville for friend Sullivan's birthday party.

We all got to feed the lettuce to the giraffe several times.
