Happy Thursday

When I was a kid, people always asked me what my "favorite" this or that was. I really didn't have enough experience to have a favorite anything. I finally decided on a favorite day at least; it would be Thursday, since that's the day I was born.

Since then Thursdays have often held good things for me. When I was single, they had the fun that Friday should have without the pressure of making good use of a weekend. Patrick and my first date was on a Thursday night. Today is a good one too because Patrick and I are chilling together, and the kids are getting along better than they have since Kyle was born.

Now I'm thinking of a book we love called You're All My Favorites, about three little bears who wonder which one is best in their parents' eyes.

And I'm thinking of my three little bears.

Oh, I love children's stories. One of my favorites was The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. I can't wait to read that one to Austen when he is a little older.
